Types of
Containers
There are different formats of containers, each one adapts to the needs of the load to be transported:
General Cargo
They are the most used on the market, hermetically closed and without refrigeration or ventilation. They have different sizes: 20′, 40′
High Cube
They have a higher height, which is why they have 13% more capacity. Ideal for bulky and heavy loads, they have a height of 9'6'' (2,896 meters)
refrigerated
They provide a temperature controlled environment. Allows products to be transported at a constant temperature throughout the journey (-18° to 30°). Sizes: 20´, 40´ and high cube.
Open Top
They have the same measurements as general cargo containers. With removable canvas roof. The merchandise can overhang and facilitates the transport of bulky loads.
Platform
They lack side walls and even, in some cases, front and rear walls. They are used for atypical loads. They come in measures of 20', 40'
open side
It has the same measurements as standard containers, 20 or 40 feet, with the difference that they only have one side opening. This allows goods to be transported whose dimensions prevent them from being loaded through the rear door.
Tank
Used for the transport of liquids, from dangerous as toxic, corrosive, highly combustible chemicals, as well as oils, milk, beers, wine, mineral water, etc. They have the same dimensions as a general cargo container, but their structure is different, since they include a polyethylene tank inside.
